A cool toy Grandma picked out for Clara. She was licking it like an ice cream cone.
Waiting for the Train. Check out Clara's rainboat/snowboats.
Some are blury from the trying to take pictures at night.

At the Zoo
Going to the Zoo to see the light!!
playing outside with Daddy!
Clara and Jasmine gettign ready to go outside.
This one is from Thanksgiving, but I found it on Karen's camera.
Since we have been in KY Clara has been able to play in a little snow. She kept saying, " Mommy I see snow!" She was so excited. We went and saw Great Grandma Rosemary. We went to the Festival of Lights at the Zoo last night. Clara did really good in the cold. She enjoyed seeing the lights and held Brian's hand as we walked around.
Today we are going to look at Trains and different things. I'll try to post more pictures soon.
All the kids piled on Travis at playgroup. Our homemade decorations and Clara in her summer hat. lAfter our first duathalon Clara's sweet bike. Clara got me up really early and then decorated me while I was sleeping. Brian thought it was funny. It has been a busy few weeks. I am sure it has been the same for everyone. We have been getting ready for Christmas by making gifts, baking, and decorating the house.
Clara loves the Christmas tree. We made some decoration for the tree and made a snowman to go on the wall. We didn't put our other ornaments on the tree. I didn't want to have to tell her to quit taking things off the tree. So the paper ornaments have been a great choice.
Clara loves to help make Cheerio necklaces. So we make them for the dog, Daddy, and Mommy. We took a family picture. I was able to send some out in the Christmas cards but if you didn't get one I'll post one here. Clara broke the cord that connects the camera to the computer so it has made it more difficult for me to upload pictures. I am hoping Santa can win us a camera on e-bay. I guess we'll see.
Yesterday Brian had his Christmas parties. So we went bowling in the morning and his party at night. Clara kind of liked the bowling party but playing with babies was much more entertaining. But overall she was really well behaved. She has been really tired lately and that tends to make her act out more. So after bowling we came home for naptime.
The party had childcare so that was great. Clara had to wear her Tinkle Bell tank top over her fleece outfit. She told me earlier in the day she wanted to go to the pool. It was rainy and 40ish out. Anyway so she wore her Tinkle Bell tank top to the party. When we went to pick her up she was the only one with a name tag on. So either she was a good little girl and they gave her lots of love or the one I am thinking, they needed to tell her to be nicer to the other kids. When we got her she red in the face with food on her face and clothes. She was so excited to see us. I think she had a good time. In the car she kept telling me "miss Mommy" and "Miss Daddy" "Avery Party" Avery was with her in the kids party room.
So today we are trying to get ready to depart tomorrow for KY. We are going to stop a long the way for a 5k. So that should be fun. It is the toughest 5k in GA all up hill. I am excited. It is suppose to be 12 degrees on top of the mountain we are running up.
Brian and I did our first duathalon last weekend. I ran 3 miles he bike 8 and then I ran another three. The trails were very wet from all the rain we have been having. I had to slow down so I didn't fall down. Brian had no front brakes on his bike. Then I guess he fell off his bike multiple times and skinned up his shin. Clara said "daddy boo-boo?" and then push on it Then he really did have a boo-boo. But we came in 4th so we didn't bring home any medals. It was a good time. Clara had fun trying to climb tree and checking out all the bikes.
The night before the race we gave her the tricycle my parent's got her for Christmas. It is pretty funny she says "Mommy push bike" "My bike". Or now she says "Clara funny. Daddy funny. Puppy funny." Everything is so funny.
On Wed. we went to the park. Clara was needing to run around. We were there for a while and I was trying to get her to want to go go when a little boy and his Dad showed up to play. The little boy was five and showing her all sorts of things to do at the playground. Finally Brian called to meet him at the BX. So I got her in the car and she said, "Mommy I want a Boy!" I thought it was pretty funny.
We had a good Thanksgiving. Brian's Parents and sister came to visit. Clara was excited to have someone else at the house rather than just me and Brian.
On Friday Brian and I went to the BX then to dinner and a movie.
On Saturday we drove up to Dauset Trail. We had a good time walking around the trails and seeing to animals. Clara feed the ducks and saw soem baby pigs along with many other animals.
The pictures of Clara with my glasses on are from this morning. She was all covered up in our bed naked with my glasses on. We thought it was funny. It is raining like crazy here today.
Jasmine and Clara Taking a nap. g On Friday we went to Brian's work to have a Thanksgiving potluck. Clara had been asking to go to his work so she was very excited. When we got there she had to sit at his desk and use his highlighters. Then she saw a girl close to her age. So she went and grabbed her hand and led that little girl in circles from the office to the bay where we were going to eat. The parents of the girl were sitting in the bay. The girl's Mom was very pregnant. The little girl was very passive and kept doing what Clara wnated her to do until I made Clara bring the girl back to her mom. Then Clara made Brian go up and down some stairs for a while until the dinner started. We took her through the line. At the end was dessert and before I could get Clara she grabbed two buckeyes and was licking them all the way to our seats. We started to eat when my friend Courtney came over to say they made it. Clara took a ball from her and Clara then was done eating. So I had to track Avery's Dad down to see where Avery and Courtney were. They were outside so we sat out there. I had Brian bring our food out because I was hungry. Joe and Brian let the girls sit in the big trucks they have. They thought it was so fun. They played ball and had a great time. Clara didn't want to leave. So now I am sure she thinks her Dad works in the best place ever.
The last picture is from when Avery and her parents came over for lunch on Sunday. The girls had some ice cream. I think it was the only time they sat still. They had cookies for dessert, but we found out that Clara can't play pretend yet. Avery was telling Clara they were going on a bus and they had backpacks on and things to take to school. Clara thought they really were. So when they were "pretending" about ice cream Clara really wasn't happy so we gave them some. Avery is 2.5 so she plays pretend all the time. Clara still has a little while I think.
We are just gettign ready for Thanksgiving. Brian's parent and sister are coming down. They should be here early tomorrow morning. Clara has been talking about Grandma's and Grandpa's so I am sure she'll be excited to see one set of her Grandparent's. Yesterday the Queen of England was on TV and she said, "Grandma?" I said yes but not your Grandma. I thought it was funny. She has been wanting to read books about Grandma's too.
We went to Pine Mountain, GA for races this weekend. Brian did a Mountain Bike race and I did a 10K. It was Brian's first bike race and he did great. He came in second in his age group. He rode 8.7 miles in 51 mins. His max speed was 29.5 mph. Crazy. We were very proud of him. I think he really enjoyed it. In some of the pictures of Brian are my running friend Don and Don's friend Rob.
I ran a twilight 10K and finished in 54:30. I had a hard time breathing maybe from my cold so I had to walk a little and I never do for a 10K. I had a good time they had the Christmas lights up as a preview for the runners. It was at Callaway Gardens. Julie and her family went too. Julie came in 3rd in her age group with her best time.
We all stayed in Columbus, GA in one hotel one. We thought it was going to be challenging with the girls and Clara being sick. They did really well.
On Sunday after the bike race we went to Callaway to hike around a little bit. It is a beautiful park.
Can't wait to go back to that side of GA.
Clara's cold is much better. She still has her cough but is sleeping again and is back to her normal self!
